WA: Man charged with attempted murder over ramming of bike cop

West Australia detectives have charged a man with attempted murder after a police motorcyclist
was allegedly deliberately rammed by a driver.

It's alleged the driver went the wrong way through a roundabout.

Motorcycle officer MATT ADAMS escaped with minor injuries in the incident last Saturday.

Police arrested a man this morning and charged him with a string of offences.

They include attempted murder, stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, failing
to stop when called upon and driving without a licence.

Three other people, a man and two women, were also arrested in connection with the incident.

A 55 year-old Hope Valley man and a 33 year-old Orelia woman have been charged with
attempting to pervert the course of justice.

A 24 year-old Hope Valley woman has been charged with possessing amphetamine with intent
to supply.

The 31 year-old man will appear in Perth magistrates court tomorrow.
