FED: It s the end of the world but Arnie s on the case

While ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER's alter ego in his latest flick does battle with Satan
on New Year's Eve, the megastar is planning a more sedate way of seeing in 2000.

The 52-year-old action hero says he'd mark the occasion at his second home in Sun Valley,
Idaho, skiing with his four children and friends.

SCHWARZENEGGER and co-star ROBIN TUNNEY are in town for the Australian premiere tonight
of the supernatural thriller End Of Days.

End Of Days is Schwarzenegger's first film in two years after undergoing major heart
surgery to repair faulty valves.

SCHWARZENEGGER, the definitive action star, says he's reduced his workout regime from
five hours a day every day before the surgery to an average one hour a day.

But the former Mr Universe, who was last in Australia to judge the bodybuilding competition
in 1981, warned against using anabolic steroids.

He says we now live in a society where everybody looks for the quick fix whether it
be in the financial world or in sports.
