Qld: Escaped killer needs medication, hospital says
A hospital manager says a schizophrenic killer who escaped from a Brisbane mental hospitalis becoming a greater community risk each day he's free.
MARK JAMES BRISCOE, 25, who was judged insane after knifing his father to death inCairns in 1997, disappeared from the Wolston Park Psychiatric Hospital while on supervisedground leave.
Hospital manager KEVIN FJELDSOE says a tribunal on Wednesday assessed BRISCOE as fitfor ground leave, meaning he was not a threat to the community.
